MURAL PROCESS

Each mural begins with a sketch concept draft…

• Before anything is built digitally, I draw out the individual scenes, characters, objects, lettering, and visual ideas that will eventually make up the larger composition. Rather than treating the wall as one flat graphic, I approach each mural as a collection of smaller illustrated moments that need to work together as one environment.

• Once the individual elements are established, I refine the drawings and begin composing them around the dimensions and architecture of the space. Scale, movement, sight lines, negative space, doors, corners, windows, and other physical features all play a role in how the final artwork is arranged.

• From there, the separate illustrations are combined into a larger collage-style scene, creating a mural or wall wrap that feels continuous while still giving the viewer different details to discover throughout the space.

• The final stage is preparing the artwork for large-format production, making sure every element holds up at full scale while preserving the original hand-drawn character of the concept.

The result is a process that moves from individual sketches, to refined illustrations, to one complete visual environment.
